How to Create a Strong Foundation of Healthy Eating for the Next 3 Months

One of my favorite months of the year is April. In my experience, I’ve noticed an amazing thing happens in this month. There’s something about the month of April that fosters new beginnings inside of us. It encourages growth and discovery. It makes us want to look forward in an optimistic way, and that helps us uncover this special belief and hope in ourselves. Does that ring true for you?

Another reason I love this month is because people are beginning to really start paying attention to their nutrition. In fact, I actually receive the most inquires about nutrition during the month of April. Because of this, I’m going to dedicate the entire month of April to YOUR healthy eating journey.

Before I go further, you know my style, it’s based on principles and guidelines, rather than me telling you what you need to do all of the time. Eat this! Don’t eat that! Follow this meal plan! That’s not my approach. I believe you know what to do, for the most part, so my approach is to challenge you to discover your own answers, as YOU are the expert in YOUR life.

You know what has worked for you in the past, and I want you to determine what’s going to work for YOUR life, YOUR situation, and YOUR vision going forward. I’m here to empower, encourage, motivate, and inspire you to achieve that vision you have of your best self by asking you the right questions that will guide you through this process on your beautiful journey of self-discovery.

Let’s remember that April begins the second quarter of the year. Each quarter I complete what’s called a “90-Day Wonder,” which you may have remembered me mentioning in the past. To begin the month of April, I want you to start this month strong as we focus on your nutrition. If you are on board with me and are ready to improve your health, body, and life through nutrition this second quarter of the year, let’s begin by laying a strong foundation. That starts with you completing your own “90-Day Wonder.”

Are you ready to get to work? Let’s begin to set the tone for the next three months to moving you closer to the health, body, and life you desire. Again, take the first week of April to journal on these questions. This exercise is not intended for you to rush through. I easily spend 1-2 hours total completing my “90-Day Wonder.”

Let’s dig right in:

1) A. As far as your nutrition in the past 90 days, big or small, what were some of your accomplishments, celebrations, and victories?

B. Additionally, since the beginning of the year, recall what were you eating when you felt the best.

2) What are your current obstacles and challenges when it comes to eating healthy? List them ALL.

3) A. What will you focus on accomplishing in the next 90 days when it comes to your nutrition?

B. Where you want to be as far as nutrition, your weight, your body, etc. in the next three months?
